Most trainers accept Tisch. Then the exam does not.
IdeaRig drills A1, A2 and B1 German vocabulary and counts a noun wrong when the article is missing. Der, die and das are part of the word here, because that is how you will be marked everywhere else.

The article is part of the word
Translating into German, a noun without its article is a miss. Not a warning, not “close enough” — a miss, counted against the round, and the word comes back sooner than the ones you know. Gender is the thing this trainer exists to fix, so the rule lives in code and there is no talking it round.

Split into six sub-levels and tagged by theme, so you can drill the words about health or everything at once. The core list was checked word by word against the official Goethe Wortlisten — and where a course disagreed with the official list, the list won.
Every word remembers how you do — in each direction
Difficulty is tracked per word and per direction. Recognise verlangen on sight but fumble it going the other way, and only the direction you are weak at keeps coming back.
Marked strictly one way, generously the other
German to English asks one question: do you know this word? Near enough is accepted. English to German is where the standard is hard, article and spelling included. The two directions are not the same skill and are not marked as though they were.
A real explanation when you miss one
Missed words come back with the correct answer and a short note on why — the gender pattern, the false friend, the ending that gives it away. Get everything right and nothing is sent anywhere at all: a clean round is just your ticks and the next round.
What it is not, yet
- Vocabulary only, for now. Grammar, tenses and writing are the plan, not the product.
